Amanda and Michael met during class when they had to sit alphabetically, introduce themselves, and tell everyone where they grew up. Although the university was hours away from home, they soon realized that they grew up less than thirty minutes away from each other. As we chatted over coffee, they absolutely glowed with details about the big day… from pink dresses to the woodsy Palmer Chapel.
Nestled in Cataloochee Valley beside a river, Palmer Chapel hasn’t changed that much since 1903. With no electricity or running water, the chapel is wonderfully rustic. Several other old building are in the area and Michael and Amanda encouraged their guests to explore with a scavenger hunt on the backside of their wedding program. From the jenga guestbook to the reception tables named after local buildings, everything was absolutely lovely. Good grief, these two are adorable. ♥
