It’s been awhile since I’ve said anything on here. Life has been a little chaotic lately and by “a little”…
I actually mean a lot.
We’ve officially reached the thirties in the wedding countdown. It’s a little bit crazy how the time has been going by so quickly. Days are filled with school, design work, sessions, painting, unpacking, and rearranging. Exciting times.
But what is sure to make me giggle every week is when “the kids” ask quirky questions.

how many days until your wedding?
what does your dress look like?
are you going to have chicken nuggets at the reception?

Every week, I just smile and laugh. The kids are so excited. I am so excited. This past weekend, they surprised us with a little party: cupcakes, chips, and the ever so awesome green punch. They also made us cards. Hand drawn cards. (My favorite kind.) Even some of the boys made cards. (Way to go guys!) Some of the boys thought it was our birthday. (We still love you.)
Words of affirmation is one of my primary love languages. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked over these cards. All the little details. The little hearts, cakes, us, wedding bells… adorable. Full of love.
Speaking of the countdown…
