Traveling down to Raleigh for a beautiful rustic wedding, I placed my hand on my car window every thirty minutes. As the temperature reached triple digits outside, my car began to feel like a sauna even with the air conditioning blasting. When I finally stepped out of my car in Raleigh, it felt as though I had been punched in the throat. I couldn’t help but be excited that the wedding day would begin the next morning at 6am. Sweet relief from the heat especially for this Asheville wedding photographer. Got to love our mountain weather!
I watched the beautiful Raleigh sunrise from the front yard of the ceremony site as I chugged my powerade and finished off a berry poptart. As I photographed details, I could hear the chatter of friends and family transforming the backyard into a magical rustic wedding location. I couldn’t help but swoon over the antique books, wooden banquet tables, and wildflowers. Here’s just a few of my favorites. ♥
